STI Education with a view to ignite Myanmar entrepreneurs awareness to the upcoming business swing has organised a business forum assembling top Myanmar economists and a platform was set up for dialogue between economists and participants (young, successful, dynamic Myanmar business men and women).
For two consecutive days, November 28 and 29, 2009 at Chatrium hotel, Yangon, 35 participants (18 gentlemen and 17 ladies) were immersed in macro and micro economic scenario and many thoughtful, practical, constructive and challenging views were generated from the brain storming sessions.

To facilitate interactive participation, the participants were split into 4 groups--- group discussion ensued after resource persons stimulated them with thought- provoking issues. The forum saw highly intelligent corporate personnel of Myanmar business community at work.
The business forum had the bonus of listening to Mr. David Ang, Executive Director, Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) presenting recent developments in Human Capital Management relating to Singaporean experience.
Networking and business experiences were shared and exchanged during lunch and coffee breaks. MRTV-4 and media covered the two- day event.
Participants come from diverse backgrounds: officials from MRTV (4), GlaxoSmithKline (Thailand) Ltd. (Myanmar Branch), Gold Backed Travels and Tours, Shwe Myin Pyan Co, Myint & Associates, MPRL E& Pte Ltd, Zaw Ti Ka International Limited, Sunrise Engineering Group , Myanmar Kaido, K.H.I International Co, Kyal Sin Gold shop, M&GH International Ltd, Shwe Sae Taw (999) Trading, Angle Store, Mandalay Advertising , Flying Dragon Aglo Company, MICDE attended the two- day business forum at Chatrium.
The event concluded with the awarding of attendance certificates by resource persons. From the evaluation of the event by the participants, the business forum was quoted informative, enhancing their knowledge of Myanmar economy, ASEAN in brief and corporate world; some remarked to inform them of the forth coming events…. rest assured that this is the initial step STI Education has taken in business education and as circumstances permit, we will be bringing renowned scholars / practitioners for series of business forums we are planning for the year 2010.
