STI Management with a view to enrich its trainees, has been organizing industry visits and this year 2010 starts with the trip to Total Supply Chain Company (International Beverages Trading Company).

A total of 30 ( 4 STI staff members, 22 DLM candidates, 1 DSCM candidate and 3 DBM candidates ) were warmly welcomed by Mr David Ngian ( Chief Operating Officer ), U Zar Ni Win( Transportation Manager ), U Aung Kyaw Moe (Logistics Manager) and U Kyaw Zin Win ( Administrative Executive) on arrival at Industrial Zone (2), Shwe Pyi Thar township on 27 February, (Friday) morning.

Logistics and supply chain process was explained in two places : the process was presented with the aid of video slides at the industry complex in Shwe Pyi Thar and wrap up session took place at Shwe-hin-thar Tower. STI officials offered a small gift to host company in appreciation of the rare opportunity to observe the operation and warm hospitality rendered to the visitors.

Those who participated the visit reported positive outcomes and request next visit to choose a site with a grossly equipped warehouse. STI took note of that and envisage to expose to other faces of logistics such as humanitarian and health sector logistics.
