Between 2007 and now we have awarded DLM, DSCM diploma and alumni and logisticians are in need of a platform to share and exchange views and experiences. It is against this background, logistics and Supply Chain Management Forum was borned.

Forum 3/ 2009 was attended by Patrons, Dr.Tin Hlaing and U Kyaw Zaw.

U Kyaw Soe, Assistant Manager, Warehousing and Distribution Myanmar Brewery Ltd., who is also a member of working committee presented “Important Role of Wastes Disposal”. He emphasized the importance of good wastes management ignoring totally or giving least attention can have disastrous outcomes, hazardous to the community and deterring healthy and happy living of citizens.

Dr. Tin Hlaing and U Kyaw Zaw led the discussion reminding the incomplete national legislature regarding wastes and its effects on environment.

Participant Mr.Gregory Hansham queried how much percentage of capital investment was earmarked for environmental management.

The Forum was attended by Logistics Interest Group (L.I.G) and Myanmar Times, Snap Shot, Time to Time, Flower News, Internet, and Weekly Eleven reporters.

Forum 4/ 2009 will be on November 28/ 2009 (Saturday) 3:00-5:00 P.M at 377, Shwe-Bon-Thar : the presenter will be U Nyan Lin, alumni and working committee member of L.I.G : he will be talking about “Third Party Logistics Services”.
